Members of the Maryland group support the Living Classrooms Foundation, with many of our Financial Representatives serving as mentors in the foundation’s Fresh Start program. The youths in this program typically have dropped out of high school and faced criminal charges. Fresh Start offers training in job readiness, academics and social skills, seeking to help these students succeed in their homes, communities, jobs, continuing education and personal relationships. Since 1996, we’ve been involved in the Hospice of the Chesapeake, serving community members experiencing advanced illness or bereavement. Managing Director Steve Roth helped raise funds for a new inpatient hospice facility, winning the 1998 Northwestern Mutual community service award and $10,000 for the organization.
